On October 3rd, Our Lady of Trust Catholic Academy kicked off the month with a Being Kind/Stomping out Bullying assembly. All of the children and staff wore blue in support of this day. Everyone received a blue ribbon to wear and a school book mark with the school’s mission statement on it. This school wide assembly included prayers, a reading of the school’s mission statement, a personalized celebrity anti-bullying message video, and a wonderful student performance. The talented 7th and 8th grade girls chose to create a stomp dance which included a song to deliver this powerful message.
After the assembly, the Pre-K 3 class talked about how words hurt and made a “Think Before You Speak “ poster to hang in the classroom. The early childhood classes will be attending a puppet show in November titled” Getting Along.”
